The Challenge

Memorial Health is a leading independent healthcare system based in Marysville, Ohio, providing comprehensive medical care, specialized outpatient services, and state-of-the-art facilities to patients across the central Ohio region.

Memorial Health wanted to modernize their website structure and Generative Search without changing any of the existing styling or branding. They also wanted the underlying marketing platform to be totally modernized and better integrated.

A non-profit hospital needed stability, fast.

The Solution by Todd Moubray

Operating as a contract consultant, I modernized the aging infrastructure, engineering a high-performance platform that supports complex physician directories, secure access portals for hospital directors, and rigorous CI/CD deployment workflows

I rebuilt the four main site searches, swapping a monolithic PHP querying system for a streamlined fully cached index at four specialized REST endpoints that makes finding a doctor, a service, a location instantaneous. On average search improved by nearly 12 seconds across the site. Site wide search speed increased by nearly 7 seconds on a cold cache.

The result was a site that looked the same but underneath the hood was operating on a new level. Marketing initiatives now have much reduced friction. Patients and stakeholders have a much improved user experience.
